Recruiting

A hiring process to help you win

The most critical investment you can make is in your company's future hires. So why does the process often feel like hunting in the dark?

We can relieve you completely. Through our curated network and a simple but effective process, we search and source vetted, high-calibre engineers and technical leaders ready to make an immediate impact. We can manage the entire process or just the specific parts you need, empowering you to elevate your team.

The process we follow

Over the years, we have refined our internal recruiting process to perfection. We use exactly the same tools and processes to hire for clients and will only offer you the top candidates who convinced us. Quality before quantity!

Do you still need something different? We are always open to discussing your wishes.

1

Sourcing

We treat the talent sourcing for madewithlove like a sales pipeline, through active marketing to attract candidates. Candidates that we find for you will come from that same pipeline. If natural inflow is low, we tap into our extensive network to identify strong profiles. Our reputation often helps attract interest from qualified candidates.

2

CV Screening

Madewithlove screens candidates based on criteria set by the client. Those not meeting the requirements are politely informed about the reasons for not advancing.

3

Interview

Candidates who pass the CV screening are invited to a video interview focused on cultural fit, motivation, and predefined skills. This conversation does not emphasise technical skills. For the type of roles that we source, soft skills are equally important.

4

Technical test

Candidates who clear the interview phase are given a technical assignment to assess key competencies. They can opt for a take-home assignment or do pair programming. Our [staff engineers](https://madewithlove.com/blog/supercharge-your-startup-with-staff-engineers/) review the coding assignments anonymously, providing detailed feedback and recommendations. A detailed report of fitting candidates is provided to the client, who has the final decision, with access to interview recordings if needed.

we hire smart people so they can tell us what to do

Beyond junior and senior labels: Push and Pull developers

Labels like "junior" and "senior" often fail to capture a developer's true value. True impact comes from initiative, ownership, and proactive contribution—not just years of experience. We value "pull developers" who actively seek improvement, ensuring the product's success beyond assigned tasks.
